My Philosophy
At Wheel Smart, I do not want to teach a learner driver how to drive merely to pass a test to obtain a provisional license; learning to drive and getting your license is much more than that. I will provide you with the skills to understand car control, how to approach and negotiate hazards, driving to capability and conditions. and most importantly; how to drive to survive.
About Your Instructor
I am Craig, with 31 years as a police officer in Tasmania and Queensland working primarily in traffic related duties and the last 14 years in the forensic crash unit. I have seen the results of poor decision making and driver inexperience on our roads. I have undertaken extensive roadcraft driver and rider training used by both the emergency services in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Having trained in both standard and performance vehicles across a wide range of road conditions, I have applied these skills in my approach to driver training and safety.
